My daughter loves the box and it’s a such a highlight when she sees it at our door! The products are so varied and interesting and she and I are both always looking for new vegan items on the market. I’m planning of giving box subscriptions to friends as a gift this coming year...I don’t feel the need to research and see what other boxes are like..we really enjoy yours!!
This is the first time I’ve ever been to your website and I can’t tell you how happy I am to have found you on Pinterest! I almost didn’t click the pin! Your recipes look fantastic, something I don’t often say about vegan recipes. I am pregnant and nursing right now and all of your snacks on here can be eaten and enjoyed! I can feel my protein intake rising.. :P
Fruit smoothies are one of the most delicious and convenient snacks there is and you’ll never get bored because they’re always different! If you just need a small snack, try blending almond milk, frozen berries and a banana. If you’re hungry or need a good solid snack before or after a workout, try almond milk, a banana, frozen berries, protein powder, and healthy fat such as chia, peanut butter or flax seeds.
The gummy fruit snack making process is simple–just 3 ingredients and less than 10 minutes of active time. Whisk the sweetener and agar agar into the juice. Let it rest for 5 minutes. Simmer and whisk for 2 minutes. Pour into a container/molds. Chill. For the jam version, you will just blend the juice + jam + agar (to avoid jammy chunks) and then boil/whisk/chill it the same way.
For a more substantial alternative to cookies, try these no-bake, oat-based bites, where almonds and almond butter pack in healthy fats to make them highly satisfying. Note that the dark chocolate drizzle on top adds a bit of time to the recipe, but as with most things chocolate, it’s totally worth it. Swap in maple syrup for the honey if you follow a strict vegan diet.
Kale chips pretty much keep my chip cravings at bay so the next time you’re craving something crispy and salty, try a batch of kale chips as a healthy alternative to store-bought potato chips. Sweet potato chips and beet chips are also a favourite of mine and make a great snack for movie nights. Try these kale chips or sweet potato chips. Beets work well for this too.
If you’re craving chips and dip but don’t want to compromise your healthy diet, reach of some buckwheat crackers with herby edamame dip instead. Both buckwheat groats and edamame are packed with protein, making them an ideal option to help ward off hunger. Buckwheat groats also filled with nutrients like zinc, copper, manganese, and magnesium. Plus this dip is so creamy and flavorful, you’ll likely forget that it’s actually healthy.
This was supposed to be pizza pockets but vegan pepperoni was completely out of stock. I actually emailed the company asking when they predicted the shelves would be restocked. Dude, tofurky’s manufacturing situation is a little fucked right now (they wrote me back the details) but it’s growing pains. I’m happy things are coming together for them. Long story short pizza flavor wasn’t going to happen. This flavor combo was my last minute improv (thus using veggie dogs instead of “ham”) but I’m pretty sure this came out way better than the pizza combo would have. This was SOOOO good! And that melted cheese! Dude you see the videos?! Epic.
Going vegan doesn't mean you don't get to eat snacks. You may be wondering what you can snack on in between meals, late at night, or just when you're out and about and on the go. There's plenty to choose from. You don't have to just eat carrot sticks, although, with a bit of hummus or some vegan ranch dressing, veggies are fantastic healthy vegan snacks.
Peanuts will keep you feeling full, while the small amount of chocolate will satisfy your sweet tooth and prevent you from indulging again. But since peanuts are high in fat and calorie-dense, moderation is key. "Consider this smart snacking — studies suggest that consuming nuts may result in you eating fewer calories over the rest of the day," says Ansel.
That same vegan nacho cheese sauce makes for a serious plate of nachos. We use freshly fried tortilla wedges (they're sturdier than store-bought chips) as the base for vegan refried beans and chili, Roasted-Tomato Salsa, guacamole, and tons of fresh and pickled veggies. Layering the chips and toppings for even coverage is a little extra work, but it's worth it for the many more balanced bites you'll get.

This is one of my favourite quick snacks, that is if you bake the acorn squash ahead of time. I like to include one or two baked acorn squash in my weekly food prep so they’re ready for snacks and meals during the week. My favourite fillings are peanut butter, yogurt and granola but you can also fill them with savoury ingredients like hummus, guacamole, quinoa, black beans, any mixture of those or anything else you can think of.
Scritchfield suggests this flavorful and energy-boosting treat whenever hunger seeps in, thanks to the nuts' combo of protein, fiber, and healthy fats. "Warm your favorite nuts on the stove with a variety of spices. Try almonds with lemon juice and curry powder for a savory, crunchy duo. Curry powder helps to reduce inflammation and aids in digestion," says Scritchfield.
If you're looking for a creative way to add more fruit to your diet, try frozen banana pops. Slice several peeled bananas in half and insert popsicle sticks. Coat each half with an ounce of low-fat plain yogurt. Put the pops in the freezer, and soon you'll have ready-to-eat low-calorie treats. At just under 80 calories a pop, this is a snack you can feel good about.
This classic Sicilian eggplant dish, terrific as a spread, a dip, or a pasta sauce, is proof positive that vegan food doesn't have to be bland. The sweet-and-sour mixture packs in all sorts of intense flavors, including pine nuts, mint, raisins, capers, and vinegar. Even with the long ingredient list, it's not that hard to make: By cooking the ingredients in a particular order, we've engineered this recipe to use just one skillet.

If you’re not a big on raw veggies, this is a great way to sneak more of them into your diet. In addition to the vitamin-packed veggies, hummus is high in protein, fibre and healthy fats to keep you satisfied for hours. Slice up a bunch of carrots, celery, mushrooms and your other favourite veggies and dig in. I recommend preparing a batch on the weekend as well as pre-chopping a selection of veggies for quick, healthy weekday snacks.

Instead of meaty mushrooms, this vegetarian pâté relies on nutty pecans and the deep umami flavor of roasted cauliflower. The recipe calls for butter and cream to get a smooth consistency, but you can easily replace those ingredients with oil and vegetable stock in the same quantities. The result is a dip that's slightly less pâté-like, but just as tasty.
